A seasoned attorney with more than three decades of experience, Marty is a dedicated professional at one of the nation’s leading trucking crash firms. His practice is primarily focused on personal injury law, dealing with claims arising from commercial vehicle crashes, premises liability, and motor vehicle collisions. Marty has represented a diverse clientele in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases.
Marty’s distinguished career began in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a combat engineer and judge advocate from 1984 to 2004. During his military service, he held positions as a prosecutor, an associate professor and vice-chair of the Criminal Law Department at The Judge Advocate General’s School, U.S. Army, and as a trial judge in the Navy and Marine Corps Trial Judiciary. As an associate professor, Marty developed and taught a comprehensive curriculum in Constitutional Law and trial advocacy, catering to both new and seasoned military attorneys. He also contributed to numerous articles and was a co-author of a joint military trial advocacy manual.
Upon retiring from the military, Marty joined a multi-state insurance defense firm, where he served for over 16 years. He managed the Jacksonville office and led a statewide practice group with offices in Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale. In 2019, Marty transitioned to the Plaintiffs’ bar, becoming the managing attorney for litigation and a trial partner for catastrophic trucking cases.
Marty is actively engaged in the legal community and is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, Jacksonville Justice Association, Florida Justice Association, and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys. His commitment to his clients and the legal profession is unwavering, making him a respected figure in the field of personal injury law.
