Mr. Anderson grew up on Long Island, the son of a police officer father, with dreams of becoming a prosecutor. After earning his undergraduate degree in criminal justice at Buffalo State, he returned home to Long Island but was unable to find a job as a law clerk without being a law student, and went back to work full time in management for a supermarket he had worked for before college. One night, as he was walking through a parking lot at one of the stores he managed, he was struck by a pick-up truck that hit him and left him on the pavement. He was out of work for four months and when he returned to work, his employer wanted more from him than was physically safe. This experience re-ignited his dream of becoming an attorney, and Mr. Anderson applied and was accepted to Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville.
